Rejuran® + REJUMATE® Injector

The REJUMATE injector helps place the skin booster consistently across the treatment area with controlled, shallow delivery.

Rejuran is a polynucleotide treatment — long chains of DNA fragments, purified from salmon, delivered by microinjection into the upper skin. It works on repair rather than volume: elasticity, hydration, and barrier strength. It is not a filler and adds no shape, which is why it suits skin that looks tired or thin rather than hollow.

01

What it does

  • Improves skin elasticity and firmness

  • Strengthens a compromised skin barrier

  • Increases hydration held within the skin

  • Suits thin, sensitive skin that reacts badly to stronger treatments

What to expect

  1. Assessment

Your skin and history are reviewed. A fish or seafood allergy is asked about specifically — the product is salmon-derived, which is not obvious from its description as a skin booster.

  2. Numbing

Topical anaesthetic is applied and left for 20–30 minutes. Rejuran is more uncomfortable than a hyaluronic booster, so numbing is used as standard rather than on request.

  3. Injection

A grid of shallow microinjections across the treatment area. Small raised bumps appear immediately and are expected — they are the product sitting in the skin, not a reaction.

  4. Aftercare

The bumps settle within a day or two. Gentle cleanser and moisturiser only for 48 hours, no active ingredients for about a week, and daily sunscreen. Avoid saunas and heavy exercise for 24 hours.

04

Is it right for you?

Good for

  • Dull, tired, or thin-looking skin
  • A weakened barrier that reacts to everything
  • Fine lines and early laxity
  • Under-eye crepiness

Not suitable if

  • Fish or seafood allergy — the polynucleotides are salmon-derived
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active infection, inflammation, or breakouts at the injection site
  • A history of keloid scarring

Downtime

Small raised bumps at each injection point for one to two days, which is the main practical consideration — they are visible up close. Some bruising is possible, particularly under the eyes. Book with a few days' margin before an event.

Results

Skin feels more resilient within two to three weeks, with the fuller effect after a course of three to four sessions spaced two to four weeks apart. Maintenance is typically every six to twelve months.

Common questions

What is the difference between Rejuran and a hyaluronic skin booster?

They do different jobs. A hyaluronic booster puts water-binding molecules into the skin — hydration you can feel quickly, lasting around six months. Rejuran uses polynucleotides to prompt repair, so it works on elasticity and barrier strength rather than water content, builds more slowly, and suits skin that is thin or reactive rather than simply dry.

Is Rejuran made from salmon?

Yes. The polynucleotides are purified DNA fragments extracted from salmon. The purification removes protein, so an allergic reaction is uncommon, but a known fish or seafood allergy is still a reason not to have it — tell us before booking rather than on the day.

How many sessions will I need?

Three to four, spaced two to four weeks apart. Rejuran works cumulatively — one session produces a noticeable but partial change, and the barrier improvement people book it for comes from completing the course.

Will the bumps be visible?

Up close, yes, for about a day. They look like small raised dots across the treated area and settle within 24 to 48 hours. This is the treatment's main practical drawback — do not book it the day before an event.

Does it hurt?

More than a hyaluronic booster, which is why numbing is standard rather than optional. With numbing applied, most people describe it as tolerable pressure with occasional sharper points, particularly near the eyes.
