Facial Treatments
Deep cleansing, extraction, and hydration, tailored to your skin on the day.

SkinCeuticals · Comfort Zone · La Mer
Your facial is built from professional products selected from these three skincare lines according to your skin and the treatment booked.
A facial combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction of congestion, a treatment mask, and hydration. What varies is emphasis: a congested skin needs more extraction time, a dehydrated one needs more hydrating steps. The protocol is adjusted at the start of each appointment rather than fixed in advance.

What to expect
Cleanse and analyse
Makeup and surface residue are removed and your skin is examined under a magnifying lamp to decide where to focus.
Exfoliate
Dead surface cells are loosened, either with a gentle enzyme or a mild acid, which also softens congestion ahead of extraction.
Extract
Blackheads and congestion are cleared under steam. This is the least comfortable part; tell your therapist if an area is too tender and they will move on rather than push through it.
Treat and hydrate
A mask suited to your skin is applied, followed by serum, moisturiser, and sunscreen. A facial massage is usually included while the mask sets.
04
Is it right for you?
Good for
- Congested skin and blackheads
- Dry or dehydrated skin
- Maintenance between clinical treatments
- Anyone unsure what their skin needs
Not suitable if
- Active cold sores or skin infection
- Severe inflammatory acne, which needs medical treatment first
- Sunburnt or broken skin
Downtime
None. Skin may look slightly pink for an hour or two after extractions, particularly around the nose. Makeup can be applied straight away, though most people prefer to leave skin bare for the rest of the day.
Results
Skin looks clearer and feels smoother immediately. The effect of a single facial lasts a few weeks; a treatment every four to six weeks keeps congestion from rebuilding.

Common questions
How often should I get a facial?
Every four to six weeks. That interval matches the skin's natural renewal cycle, and it is roughly how long it takes for congestion to build back up after a thorough extraction.
Will extractions leave my skin red?
Mildly, for an hour or two, mainly around the nose and chin where congestion is densest. If you have an event, book two or three days ahead rather than the same day.
What is the difference between a facial and a chemical peel?
A facial cleans and hydrates, working mostly at the surface with no recovery period. A peel uses acid to accelerate cell turnover, works deeper, and involves some flaking afterwards. A facial is maintenance; a peel is a corrective treatment done as a course.
Can I get a facial if I have acne?
Yes for mild congestion and the occasional breakout — a clarifying facial is designed for exactly that. Severe inflammatory or cystic acne should be seen by a dermatologist first; extracting inflamed lesions can worsen them and cause scarring.
Should I wear makeup to my appointment?
It does not matter — makeup is removed as the first step. Come as you are.
