Botox & Xeomin
Softens lines caused by movement, administered by licensed injectors.
The injections take 10–15 minutes. Allow extra time for your first consultation.

Botox® Cosmetic & Xeomin®
Two neuromodulator options let your injector tailor the product and dose to the muscles being treated and the movement you want to preserve.
Botox and Xeomin are neuromodulators. They relax the specific muscles that fold the skin when you frown or raise your brows, which softens the lines those movements create. They do not fill anything — for volume loss, a collagen stimulator or filler is the relevant treatment instead.

What to expect
Consultation
A licensed injector reviews your medical history and watches the treatment area both at rest and in movement — the muscles that need treating are only visible when they contract.
Preparation
The area is cleansed. Topical numbing is available on request, though most people find these injections tolerable without it.
Injection
A series of small injections with a fine needle, each taking a second or two. Ten to fifteen minutes in total.
Aftercare
Stay upright for four hours, skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and do not rub the treated area — pressure can move the product before it settles.
04
Is it right for you?
Good for
- Lines that appear or deepen with expression
- Forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet
- Prevention, before lines become etched at rest
Not suitable if
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis or ALS
- Active skin infection or inflammation at the injection site
- Known allergy to the product or its components
Downtime
None. Small raised bumps at the injection points settle within a few hours. Bruising, if it happens, usually fades within a week.
Results
Movement begins to soften in three to seven days and reaches full effect at about two weeks. Results last three to four months, after which the muscle gradually regains its strength.

Common questions
How much does Botox cost in Midtown Manhattan?
At Glowme Med Spa, Botox is $15 per unit or $1,199 for a 100-unit package, and Xeomin is $12 per unit or $999 for 100 units. What you pay depends on how many units your treatment area needs, which is assessed at consultation — treating the forehead alone takes fewer units than a full upper face.
What is the difference between Botox and Xeomin?
Both use the same active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, and relax the same muscles. The difference is formulation: Xeomin contains only the toxin, while Botox also carries accessory proteins. Onset and duration are comparable. Xeomin costs less per unit here, though the two can require slightly different unit counts.
How long does Botox last?
Three to four months for most people. Results appear in three to seven days and peak around two weeks. Duration varies with metabolism, the area treated, and muscle strength — people who exercise heavily often find it wears off sooner.
Will I still be able to make expressions?
Yes, if that is what you want. The dose determines how much movement remains, so a conservative dose softens lines while leaving expression intact. Say so at consultation — a natural result and a completely smooth one need very different amounts.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a brief pinch. A fine needle is used and each injection takes a second or two. Numbing cream is available if you would prefer it.
Can I return to work the same day?
Yes. There is no downtime. Small bumps at the injection sites settle within a few hours. Stay upright for four hours, skip the gym for a day, and avoid rubbing the area.
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes. This is a medical procedure, and a licensed injector needs to review your history and assess the area in person. The consultation can usually happen at the same visit as your first treatment.
