Your first visit

Most people arrive with a question rather than a treatment in mind. That is the right way to come — the first appointment is an assessment, and nothing is done to your skin that you have not agreed to first.

What happens on the day

  1. Arrive

Come a few minutes early to fill in a short health form — medications, allergies, previous treatments, anything you are currently using on your skin. It is quick, but it decides what is safe, so it is worth being complete.

  2. Consultation

A practitioner looks at your skin in person, asks what you want to change, and tells you what will and will not achieve it. If the honest answer is that a treatment you asked for is wrong for your skin, you will be told so.

  3. Treatment, if you decide to go ahead

Many treatments can be done at the same visit as the consultation. Some cannot — anything needing numbing time, a patch test, or product ordered for you gets booked separately. You will be told the cost before anything begins.

  4. Aftercare

You leave with written aftercare for what you had done, and a clear answer on when to expect results and when to come back. If something looks unexpected afterwards, call us on (201) 706-1138 rather than waiting for the next appointment.

02

What to bring

  • A list of any medications and supplements you take, including anything for acne.
  • Dates of any cosmetic treatment in the past six months — injectables, lasers, peels, or anything bought abroad.
  • The skincare you actually use, or photos of the labels. Retinoids and acids affect what is safe on the day.
  • Photo ID if you are having a medical treatment for the first time.
  • No makeup if you can manage it. If not, we will remove it here.

Cancellations and running late

Plans change, and we would rather you tell us than not turn up. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge. If you are running more than 15 minutes late we may need to shorten or move your appointment, since the next person is already booked. Call (201) 706-1138 — a phone call reaches us faster than an email.

Common questions before a first visit

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Call (201) 706-1138 at least 24 hours before your appointment and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours we may not be able to fill the slot, so please give as much notice as you can.

What if I am running late?

Call us. Up to about 15 minutes we can usually still treat you, though the appointment may be shortened. Beyond that the next client is waiting and we will most likely need to rebook you.

How long does a consultation take?

Around 20 to 30 minutes for a first visit. If you decide to have a treatment on the same day, allow the treatment time on top — the time shown on each treatment page already includes numbing where it is needed.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring one person, and it is a good idea if you are nervous or want a second opinion in the room. Please let us know when you book so we can plan the space.

Do I pay when I book?

No. Booking online does not take payment and does not hold a card — you pay at the shop after your treatment. You can book up to 90 days ahead.

Next step

Not sure which treatment is right for you?
